MINT Language Services needs a logo that emphasizes our values

Minnesota Interpreters and Translators (MINT) provides top-quality language services to Limited English Proficiency clients and the service providers who work with them, including medical professionals, lawyers, community leaders, government representatives and more. Our logo must also appeal to our language service providers, who are multi-cultural and multi-ethnic. We ensure accurate communication and clear understanding in order to empower people. Although based in Minneapolis, MN, we provide language services through the midwest, Ohio and Washington state.
The design needs to be able to be used on a badge and be distinct at a distance. We need a full-color logo for our business, a language services agency called Minnesota Interpreters and Translators (MINT). We currently use a logo that is the shape of a mint leaf, filled in with gradients of green, on a black background. It has gained some brand recognition, so we are looking for updates that don't deviate too far from our current logo image. We would prefer something that emphasizes our company values of connection, empowerment, service and education. We would like to see logo designs in which, for example, two mint leaves overlap and the color intensifies or changes where the overlap happens...to suggest the value of two people coming together to communicate through a common language. The logo needs to also render well in black&white, needs to be distinctive (there are a lot of mint leaves out there!), be clean rather than decorative, and be bold enough to be recognizable from across the room. It must incorporate the color green and must feature a mint leaf or leaves. Please DO NOT include images of globes or maps.
