Who are you known as?
Sacred Space Midwifery
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I offer midwifery services to women seeking a positive home birth, doula services to women seeking a positive hospital birth, and placenta encapsulation, belly binding, and breastfeeding support to women seeking a positive postpartum experience. I serve families who value women enough to invest in their wellbeing. I believe that science and spirituality are not mutually exclusive and should be used synergistically. My goal is to hold open the doors to a sacred space for women to step through and have amazing spiritual birth and postpartum experiences while utilizing the best evidence, competence, and continuity of care. I want women to know how fantastically powerful they are. I'm also on the forefront of providing affordable, ethical, and effective stem cell therapy for children with special needs using donated fresh human placentas--usually from the births of their younger siblings.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
I'm open to creative suggestions and these are colors I have used and loved in the past (in RGB): Lt. green 135, 187, 63; Dk. green 39, 105, 18; Brown 107, 79, 57; Orange 219, 124, 40; Red 136, 0, 21; Pale 243, 246, 217.

I want something that represents who my clients can become because of my service (strong, spiritual, joyful, confident, with mojo and awesomeness, she should feel like Wonder Woman!). Something that shows both power and spirituality. I tend to favor vortex or spiral concepts, or other images representing strength through opposition. Mandalas and images of pregnant women and babies are nice, but everyone has those. That said, I love those images too, so extra points if you can incorperate them while differentiating me from every other birth worker. I've also played with the image of an ancient willow tree hanging protectively over a much younger tree or pregnant person, and the younger tree or pregnant person had a bright golden or yellow vortex like a chakra. And if that's not enough to work with, I think it's fun when birth logos mix birth art with science. I need a logo that greys well for when I make black & white copies. The attached images: the spiral is my current working logo. I love it except that it's just a generic borrowed from vista print and I want something unique to me. The sketch is my willow concept...maybe someone can play with that. The two art pieces are examples of combining birth art and science if someone wants to go that direction. Then there's a vortex if someone wants to play with that. I hope it's obvious that I don't expect all these concepts to be worked into one logo. I just want some variety to choose from. I hope I see some original ideas as well that inspire.
