Mr. V's work and approach was excellent throughout the process. His response to the brief was really creative and communication throughout was professional and patient. I'd definitely be keen to work together more in the future.
How Obsoinc started their logo design journey
You Compare Medicare
You Compare Medicare is a new professional services company focused on building new technology to support health care decisions. Our primary focus is on the Medicare space, but we will also be doing some work for the under 65 market.
We are not your standard government entity or a traditional insurance company. We are a consumer focused, technology driven company. Think Web2.0, social media, and etail while respecting our target audience and the traditional peers/partners we will have to work with.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Two primary targets: Consumers age 65+ and Business Partners (Both non-profit and corporate entities)
Consumers: The end user of our products will be age 65+, but are willing to adopt newer technologies like mobile, web and social media. Thus, our user base is most likely the more sophisticated of this age group. We will also be reaching these consumers caregivers which could range in age from 20-50...but they are all turning to technology to help them solve their problems. Typically the 65+ market likes larger fonts and easy to read fonts. They also tend not to be driven by shocking colors, but prefer softer, warmer colors. But not pastels.
Partners: These are the non-profits, government agencies and corporate partners that we will be teaming with. So our presence can't be too whimsical. Need to provide a sense of trust and confidence in our abilities.
Prefer a logo that incorporates text and a visual element. Ideally the visual element can be used on it's own as an icon. So the visual element needs to be able to be visible/identifiable when reduced to a small scale.
We want the logo to display that we are a technology/innovative organization and that we have vision for the future of healthcare.
Primarily will be used on the web and some printed materials, so would like a full color version and one in black and white for printed materials.
Colors need to be calm colors. Willing to push the envelope a little to make sure we are current, but stay away from anything too trendy that won't last.
