Our company, Oshi Health, is a digital health start-up working on revolutionizing the way IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) patients manage their disease. Through our mobile application, Oshi, patients can track their disease activity, share information with their doctors, and contribute data to the IBD research community. Our target audience consists of IBD patients and healthcare professionals.

While we are largely associated with healthcare companies and other large players in the healthcare field, we want to differentiate ourselves from the health arena by positioning our brand as patient-facing. Many products that have been previously created in the healthcare industry have been largely catered towards HCPS.
At Oshi, we want to be the voice of our primary audience: IBD patients. It's very important for us to have a clean, legible logo that exudes sophistication (for our Pharma clients), but accessibility and friendliness (for our IBD patients). We are not looking for a monolithic design - I think our company would like something that is more like wordmarks/logotypes. A challenge we've found is that our name, Oshi, does not explicitly reflect any concept of our product. It's a random name we inherited, and so we are struggling to connect the name to our product. Below, I've attached a very rudimentary sketch of what our company would like.
We would prefer something along the lines of a brand-family, that gives us flexibility for scaling in the future. Currently, we think of our company as Oshi Health, while our main (and only) product at the moment is Oshi: IBD. In the future, we plan to have Oshi: IBS.
