emilyscutler got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Mad Pride Logo Contest
Check out emilyscutler's Logo design contest…
Our byline is "Celebrating differences, valuing extreme states, and striving to live authentically" but we do not want that incorporated in the logo.
Community & Non-Profit
The National Empowerment Center carries a message of recovery, empowerment, hope and healing to people with lived experience with mental health issues, trauma, and/or extreme states. We provide training and technical assistance on alternative approaches to emotional distress and crisis that are non-pathologizing and non-coercive. The National Empowerment Center also carries a message of Mad Pride, a movement for people who are reclaiming their thoughts, feelings, traits, differences, etc. that are labeled as "mental illness," who see these differences/experiences not as an illness, but as a part of who they are and a natural part of human diversity. Unlike more traditional mental health organizations, we view extreme states and crises as the result of traumatic events and other life circumstances that should be valued, listened to, and sometimes even celebrated, rather than pathologized.
We are redesigning our website. You can view our new site design at http://trwdtemp.info (we will change the coloring according to the new logo). The password for viewing is REDW4zev. You can view our current website at www.power2u.org. The current logo is 165x79. The preference is to have something more horizontal to fit within the header of the new website. It can be a little taller, and or wider. It would be great to have a favicon to compliment the logo (16x16 px, 32x32 px, 48x48 px). Please do not use the acronym "NEC" in the logo or the byline. Added 9/30/17 at noon (EST): We have decided that the logos should not include a depiction of the globe. Although the National Empowerment Center has a global reach, it is a US based nonprofit, with most of our funding comes from US agencies. The logo should include National Empowerment Center, with emphasis on Empowerment. Regarding color combinations. The main colors offered so far tend to be blue to match our theme which is great. We like the submissions that include a second complementary color. We would like to use that color for hyperlinks, buttons, etc. Keep in mind that the darker/bolder colors would be better for this purpose.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $299.
