andpouffe got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Luxury Online Furniture company: Pouffe needs a logo!
Check out andpouffe's Logo design contest…
Pouffe is an upscale online furniture consignment boutique where modern consumers can buy and sell high-end furniture at savvy prices. As the premier purveyor of luxury consignment in the Midwest, Pouffe makes the process of selling and purchasing gently-used fine home furnishings sophisticated and deliciously simple. Pouffe combines the online experience of Craigslist (minus all the work) with the elusive world of a Sotheby's auction, to create a fabulous online marketplace where consumers can share pre-loved furnishings and shop a curated collection of designer home décor at the best resale value on the Web. We know you like nice things, we do too. Let's share. Company Overview: Pouffe is Kansas City's premier purveyor of high-end consignment furniture. Our curated pieces are selected from the finest homes and businesses in the Midwest, and are available online to those who appreciate timeless design and one-of-a-kind selection. Services Provided: We offer in-person, white glove, moving and storage of designer furniture. Pieces are then resold through our online marketplace and auction house. Exceptional customer experience and seamless logistics allow our company to stand out among competitors. We ship nationwide. Customer Demographic: Savvy home designers in search for high-end designer furniture at fair market price, which they determine through online design resources and industry research. Pouffe customers have expensive taste, a high expectation for quality, and an appreciation for finding valuable pieces at a bargain. Educated and particular in style, Pouffe buyers and sellers alike recognize the timeless value of upscale furnishings, and the importance of a well-dressed home. Competitors: Brick and mortar consignment and antique shops who lack editing, designer quality and marketing of merchandise, and do not typically supply larger furniture items within affordable price ranges or acceptable quality standards. Also, deep designer discount online one-day sales on web sites like One Kings Lane (okl.com) and Joss and Main (jossandmain.com).
Logo types to explore
A Pouffe is a French-derived piece of furniture defined as a soft, round or square seat with no back or sides, used for sitting on or resting your feet on. In the US, this is better know as an Ottoman. The brand is inspired by a french-style classic pouffe, so I would like to see designs executed using that imagery. Because the variant style of pouffe may influence creativity and flexibility of design, I've attached pictures of several acceptable styles for design reference. Imagery is not mandatory in logo design, however. Looking for creative ways to show pouffe imagery within logo, either in the company name (perhaps using the 'o' in Pouffe), or incorporated as a lockup. Overall I'm looking for a design that is classic and simplistic, conveys sophistication and attracts savvy and smart online shoppers with high-end taste. Brand must embody a sense of exclusivity and luxury, but also feel accessible to anyone with good design aesthetic, without regard to budget. Colors: I'm open to a light shade of a classic and subtle accent color (no blue, orange or purple). Example logos uploaded for design inspiration in "helpful images, sketches, docs section." These are a collection of brands and designs that are strong yet simplistic, embody the classic and timeless feel of Pouffe, and have retained relevancy over time.
