A love letter to the Middle East, a logo for a Bistro of the Mashriq & Levant

Bistro Mashriq will be a dynamic middle eastern bistro that will focus on the authentic cuisine of the Mashriq and Levant. It will be a love letter to the Middle East where I lived and worked for many years. It will take the best of the European bistro...authentic, simple food served in a convivial environment with the scents, sounds and taste of the Mashriq and Levant. This will be an homage to classic bistro's of the past and the current youthful energy and hope of the middle east. Like any bistro, we will welcome old and young, single diners, groups and extended families. It will be a place to hang out with Turkish coffee and work on yoru laptop during the day and enjoy with a group of friends at night.

The logo should certainly reflect the culture; not looking for something kitschy or 'disneyfied', but an interpretation of what one might find if you walked the souks of old Beirut or Cairo. It should be both modern and classic. Would love to have name in Arabic in the logo.
