The attached sketch is what I had in mind, but **I'm open to other designs, as well.** Don't be afraid to show me another idea!
The red figure on the left side is supposed to be a pixiu, a Chinese mythical creature. The pixiu is a winged lion with a fat stomach and one horn (the female actually has two horns but we want the male with the single horn). The story is that the creature pissed off the Emperor of Heaven and as punishment the creature was only allowed to eat gold and silver and its anus was removed, so it can only absorb wealth but can never expel it. Thus, it's an auspicious symbol for accumulating wealth. Get it? People put statues of it in front of buildings. When I lived in Shanghai there was this one old guy in my building who had a little jade pixiu that he'd pet while he played majiang. And we're an investment fund with a bunch of Chinese investors.
The 'inspiration' for the sketch itself is two-fold: first, the logo of Vauxhall, which shows a griffin oriented to the left but with its head looking back over to the right. Second, the 'red outline' style is similar to a Chinese seal (or 'chop') which you see sometimes stamped onto Chinese paintings. It could also be a red background with the writing in white. See links below.
The Chinese text is: 娄山关投资管理有限公司 (but I may change this)
The picture on the left should be red but I'm open to a suggested color scheme or other colors for the text.
Again, this is what I had in mind, but if you have something completely different in mind I definitely want to see it.
