OK, this is a crazy project.
I need a professional to help me not screw this up.
My daughter has started acting and singing professionally. With the help of a good friend, we're building her a web site that:
a) agents and casting firms can visit to see her bio and photos, hear her music, etc AND
b) a login-in secured section for her to post things for her friends.
Visit the website to get a feel for the look. (Don't be too freaked, it is still underconstuction).
We need something eye catching to replace the stock logo that appears on the upper left of each page (currently says TheHiveMind).
She has had some success (you can see on the page). This all started in June, so we are all new to it.
She recently auditioned for a Disney show, has met with scores of agents and talent firms and is working with a talent agency out of Philadelphia and is starting to get work.
Three key audiences that you need to impress:
1. entertainment industry booking agents and casting directors, promoters, etc
2. her friends
I listed them in reverse order of importance
She loves the Jonas Brothers (doesn't every girl her age), Taylor Swift, too old for Miley Cyrus. Great student and a little bit of a tomboy, but not too much. but definately not a "girly-girl." Strong willed and assertive. Has a powerful voice that a producer recently told us "rocks the house."
Bold colors that show a lot of energy and contrast with the white them of the page.
Artistic and stylish, but something that will not go out of date.
Clever, NOT cute, identifiable and perhaps most important -- memorable.
Her favorite color is green. Not dark green, lighter and brighter green. Recently changed from purple.
You are the person who knows what is quality, what will work and what can make this special -- that is the guidance we know we need.
But, I can tell you what I like... and I think she will like..
Thelogo should be her name. Take a look at design number 4 in competition 30142, the script "signature" approach might be what we are looking for...http://99designs.com/contests/
But the scirpt needs to be bold, have energy and use color creatively.
