BiJD got directly to the point and proposed from his first sample a winning logo. Very supportive and willing while fine tuning the logo.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This website is an Irish Government run website which contains genealogy records and a search mechanism. The target audience is both domestic and international ranging from those beginning to search for their family roots for the first time to experienced genealogists.

The logo should be of a classic nature, appealing to a wide variety of age groups and social backgrounds. It should not be too complicated and needs to be easily adaptable to print, digital media and signage. The design should reflect something that is easily identifiable as genealogy and Irish related. However, there should be no shamrocks, leprechauns or shilleleaghs. It should be borne in mind that it is intended to use the logo to represent the site both domestically and internationally.
