How DabielOrganics started their logo design journey
We are a pair of young (26 year old) entrepreneurs who are doing a project to take spoiled vegetables from grocery stores and convert them into a fertilizer product using earthworms. Our age informs our tastes in design: simple, clean, elegant.
For reference: "Vermiculture" means work having to do with raising earthworms.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience here is wide. From children who visit our site to senior citizens who buy our fertilizer. Meaning: the logo shouldn't be edgy.
We are looking for a logo to represent the company, Sonoma Vermiculture. The logo should not be edgy, should incorporate the name of the company, and be uncluttered enough so that it is clear from a distance on a large sign or printed on a business card.
A few themes important to us (in order of importance)
1) There should be an earthworm in the logo somewhere
2) The idea of recycling, or closing a loop on food scraps
3) The idea of farming or plant growth or Sonoma County (a beautiful farming region)
4) Green and Brown colors are suggested, but not required
Please no stock images or clipart; original work only. Cartoons are ok for a some worm personality, but please not in the logo typeface.
We will need the images in a format that can be sent to a large printer.
