I am a speech language pathologist with 16 years of clinical experience. I have worked in hospitals and schools, but am currently delighted to be helping families in my small progressive family centered clinic located in Beverly Hills, CA.
The target audience for my website (logo) is Master's level Speech Language Pathologists. It is not meant to replace Master's level training. It is meant to challenge treatment beliefs based on outdated info, spread current best practices research and treatment, and give therapists in remote areas access to otherwise unobtainable information.
Most speech path's are giving, nurturing women (save the occasional hag). SLP's work with adults and kids who have been diagnosed with anything and everything from autism to alzheimer's...the knowledge we get in training is vast and generalized. Becoming an expert in the field requires years of "in the trenches experience" and passion for creating successes in adults and kids with communication challenges. My website is designed to inspire, educate, and promote growth in practicing therapists. The goal is to reduce the years and failures needed to become an expert clinician and promote great successes in clients.
I want a logo to represent the forward thinking website "Speechified".
I am open to designs.
I like the psychedelic pop, origami, street art, tactile logos, and pictograms from the following link
One more possible design source for you to consider. Pictures of sound waves as in these links...

I am curious to see an interpretation in both symbol only and text incorporated contexts.
Please feel free to experiment with colors and text styles (not a fan of "elegant" curvy fonts)!
The files I will require are:
-several sizes of the .jpeg
-the original in photoshop / illustator format.
-print file format - .ai (CMYK)
- web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
I am appreciative of your efforts in helping me make a difference. I'm hoping the free website I'm building will inspire and further educate therapists seeking treatment advice, and ultimately better the lives of the kids and families working with them.
To see my fledgling website visit http://www.speechified.com The design will change soon but the content will be similar.
Looking forward to getting my socks blown off by your creativity!
