Food & Drink
Our "organization" (my wife and I) is starting a mobil hot dog cart. We are doing this solely to create an employment opportunity for people with disabilities (this includes our son who will be our first employee). Our target audience is "foot traffic" at our local hardware store (in the parking lot) and local kids sport leagues (football, little league, rec. dept. soccer, etc) We are essentially a standard hot dog cart with the "angle" that we are serving the disabled community by providing an employment opportunity in a setting where disabilities will be accommodated (rather than having a disability rule out employment as a life choice.) Hence the name: "Working Dogs". Our slogan is going to be something like "Meaningful employment for all people" or something like that. That's it!
Logo types to explore
We are really open to whatever people come up with. Before we decided to outsource this design process we were thinking of a Dr. Suess-like dog in an apron looking fun and excited. That's the "vibe" we're going for. Not immature and shooting for young children, but rather adults who are fun. The dog-in-an-apron element does NOT have to be included in designs. That was just what we (non-designers) were thinking of. Over all the vibe should be sort of like the "Life Is Good" campaign, or Ben and Jerry's (we're based in Vermont and have the hippy, liberal Vermont sentiment). Simple, graphic, bold, fun, funky, local...
