We are start-up nonprofit. We will match military veterans with companion, service and pet dogs. Here's the info from our draft landing page.
Veterans who suffer from PTSD feel lonely, isolated and hopeless, even with support from family and professionals. Imagine feeling so shattered physically, mentally and emotionally that nightmares, memory lapses, bouts of anger and hopelessness, hyper-vigilance and anxiety drive 18 of our veterans to commit suicide each day. Statistics show dramatically increasing PTSD symptoms.
The stories are all too similar. Veterans serve our country and arrive home. Loved ones noticed how they’ve changed, yet don’t know how to help. Flashbacks of combat or brain injuries leave veterans unable to distinguish between the battlefield and what should be familiar and comfortable - home and family. Emotions become unpredictable. Unable to force themselves to carry out daily activities in public, they can seem detached and removed one moment and then emotional the next. Troubled veterans can “go off like a rocket," becoming aggressive and threatening those they love the most.
We have a way to help our veterans today. A recent survey showed that 82 percent of patients with PTSD who were assigned a dog had a decrease in symptoms. Pets and Vets Connect’s goal is simple. Match a veteran with the right pet and help save lives. We can do this one veteran at a time and show them they are not alone. Our vets have honored their commitments and protected our country. It’s time for us to do the same for them now.

Yes, we imagined a red, white and blue heart with the logo somehow, but are open to ideas. Mostly, this logo must clearly relate our mission and reach viewers emotionally. Every day we delay 18 more veterans take their lives because they cannot live with the pain. We can help them if we act now. That's what the logo needs to show. The comforting companionship dogs provide when people cannot.
