Quickly understood the vision for our project, and was able to iterate promptly when given feedback. Very happy with the result!
I ran a contest for a new company logo and received a number of great designs based on what I originally wanted. PixelSurgery took my spec and came up with a unique, cleaner look, which ended up being the basis for the design itself.
The other impressive aspect of working with PixelSurgery was the speed and accuracy of responding to feedback. From the first design, it only took one iterations to nail it and another 1-2 to refine the final product.
I hope to work with PixelSurgery for other design projects I have in the future.
Great, catchy logo design. My picture was a little off-center, but the great team at 99designs got that fixed. I would definitely recommend 99designs and this designer to others.
Great to work with. Quick to act on feedback and requests. Would definitely recommend.

How Pagy started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We need a logo for our financial portal called Market Reef. The portal aggregates content from different proprietary channels to better inform investors about what's happening in the financial markets.
Our audience consists of medium to high-income males, 25 to 65 years old, with a higher degree, who are investors or have interests in financial markets.
The final design should be idiosyncratic, communicate safety, and also give an idea/feeling of being part of a live and unique community.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Market Reef represents several apparently conflicting ideas which pose a challenge to designers On one side, it is lively, active, fertile - the self-sustaining dynamics of a reef - while at the same time being trustworthy and austere - as with a bank, credibility is everything. It is a mixture of the "classic" financial institutions (see JPMorgan / Wall Street Journal logos) and a consumer products company (see Unilever and Altria logos).
There is an additional aspect of the portal which is the fact that it relies on cutting-edge proprietary technology, which has a "freshness" to it (see "Singularity Institute" and Firefox logos).
Furthermore. its worth mentioning that the world of finance is going through several marketing challenges - much like the oil- and the tobacco industries before them - as it faces deteriorating a public opinion after the financial crisis. We highly recommend looking into the re-branding of BP & Altria for inspiration.
