Tynstar got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New logo wanted for magic-themed fantasy role playing game
Check out Tynstar's Logo design contest…
Aera der Zauberey ("Age of Magic") is a "pen and paper" role-playing game (RPG), not a computer game. Basically, it is set in a usual fantasy world, but all player characters are able to do magic in some way or another. "Magic" does *not* mean they wear pointed hats like Gandalf or wave wands like Harry Potter, though. The game mechanics allow a multitude of different backgrounds where the character got his magic from and how it is performed.
Logo types to explore
The game used to be called "Wizardry", and I had its logo created via a contest here. Unfortunately I had to rename the game for legal reasons, so I also need a new logo. I really like the old logo, which is shown in the images I attached. You can also see a part of a character sheet, for which the logo designer provided some separators that pick up elements of the logo. The winner should deliver the new logo in black/white and color variants, and also matching separator elements. These should be easily adaptible by me if I ever change the labels ("Attribute" or "Fertigkeiten" in the image). The material should be in vector graphics files, primarily SVG, but also the original file format (such as .ai) of the drawing program used. Wants: - Fantasy/medieval style - Some association with magic - Needs to have the words "Aera der Zauberey". If you have a good idea for an additional symbol/icon, you are free to create one and include it in the logo, but this is not a requirement. - Needs to work in different sizes - from book spine (height of around 1cm / 0.4 inch) to book cover (width of 12cm / 5 inch). The smaller sizes may use a simplified version of the full logo, if neccessary. Don't Wants: - No overused clichés like pointed hats or wands. - No subtitle or tagline.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $299.
