anna.feeney got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New logo wanted - global food trade project
Check out anna.feeney's Logo design contest…
Aim: Helping the global trade system become more sustainable, so it has less negative impacts on nature and people and has more benefits (such as jobs through tourism or agriculture) for local people How: We will do research to better understand how we can trace trade in goods such as wild species, coffee, rubber and soy, and we can make trade more transparent. We will build partnerships between researchers, businesses and the public sector (e.g. governments, charities) who work on trade to make sure our research is used by decision makers to develop and implement relevant policies about trade. Who we are: 50+ organisations spread across the globe working in partnership with each other and with external partners to achieve our aim. Key areas of interest: Commodities (e.g. palm oil, soy, beef), wild meat, wildlife (e.g. live animals, skins) Target audience: Trade actors, including: decision makers such as governments and trade rules organisations (e.g. Department for International Trade), private sector companies who trade commodities, environmental and social NGOs involved in TRADE issues. See here for more info about the project: https://www.unep-wcmc.org/featured-projects/trade
We have attached three things below -a flyer from the project so you can see our general tone and visual identity, as well as two other logos. The Development Corridors Partnership is another one of our projects with quite a lot of text, and TRASE is a similar project that might be good inspiration. Please avoid reds, or any colours that are too reminiscent of a particular country's flag. Key words for us are: environmental and social sustainability, evidence, research, collaboration, reliability. The logo should be neutral, it needs to not be off-putting to any particular country or group – businesses, political groups, and interest groups should all be interested in hearing what we have to say as we produce evidence that can help everyone collaborate better towards shifting to more sustainable practices. A simple logo is preferrable, so that it can be used small and large in many different contexts. An indication of global trade movement would be nice to have represented in the logo. We do not want to single out any particular traded commodity. It should represent global trade as a whole. The logo should not portray trade in a positive or negative light. It should be neutral.

Needed a logo for one of our state chapters, and "creativemood BS" logo was so good that our other state chapters are asking for a re-design of the existing logos!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
