We would like a logo that will project a clean, modern image. However, we don't want to convey an excessively technological image, as we are physicians who specialize in careful diagnosis and thoughtful patient care, not doing high-tech medical procedures. In addition, the logo needs to appeal to both younger physicians (in their mid 20's), as well as our older physician members (typically in their 50's) who may have a more traditional aesthetic sensibility.
We will need English and French versions of the logo, which should be identical except for the acronym and/or name of the society.
The full name and acronym of the society is:
English: Canadian Society of Internal Medicine (CSIM)
French: Société Canadienne de Médecine Interne (SCMI)
Please note that "CSIM" and "SCMI" should be in all-capital letters.
Our current logo is attached. I think it's very old-fashioned, but some of our members really like it and are reluctant to abandon it. The logo depicts Dr. William Osler, a renowned physician who is considered to be the father of modern medicine.
