New logo wanted for Crowd Funded Cures

Crowd Funded Cures

We are a charitable organisation that is running a project Crowd Funded Cures through our own crowdfunding website. 

The purpose of the website will be to crowdfund medical prizes to incentivise clinical trials for unmonopolisable therapies. "Unmonopolisable" means that patents cannot be used to secure a monopoly price - so there is no private incentive to conduct research. Basically under our current system, the only way this research can get funding is through the taxpayer or charities and they typically only fund very small studies which don't get noticed. There are various examples of such therapies including diets, dietary supplements, lifestyle choices, readily available chemicals, and second uses for cheap generic medicines.

Our target audience will be people wishing to donate to a medical research prize and medical researchers that wish to participate in the competition. Our initial pilot will be a Crohn's disease prize, which will pay out $2m per annum for 5 years to "registered" clinical trials of unmonopolisable therapies for Crohn's disease according to incremental QALY impact. The prize fund would operate in a similar manner to the proposed Health Impact Fund (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_Impact_Fund). The goal is to seek funding from the public, charities, NGOs and government drug reimbursement agencies on the basis that validated clinical trials can lower overall healthcare costs by increasing treatment options.

We would like a word mark Crowd Funded Cures combined with a logo . 

Some ideas for cool logos:

1. The logo could look like the initials CFC but where both Cs are like leaves growing out from the rod of Asclepius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_of_Asclepius) the central F is the snake wrapped around a staff. This is the only logo idea which should incorporate initials. 

2. An alternative logo idea would be the image of a mortar and pestle with natural herbs surrounding it. 

3. Further alternative ideas for logos: a "natural" theme - the idea is that we are helping fund "natural" cures which are not profitable. Also, a "crowdfunding" theme - the idea of a crowd - and the idea of a "prize". Incorporating all three themes would be preferred. 

4. Any combination of the above or other ideas that fall within the above brief.
