How CombatFinance started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Combat Finance is a financial self-help book dedicated to economic empowerment through financial education. The author uses his military experience as a source of anecdotes and to draw parallels between military operations and day to day financial 'battles' we all face. However, Combat Finance will also become a virtual community dedicated to those seeking economic empowerment for themselves and who are willing to share what they have learned with others. This presence will encompass the website and social media; Facebook, Twitter, etc. The target audience is most likely to be between the ages of 18 and 40.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Combat Finance applies military values, principles and problem solving techniques to overcome financial obstacles, so the logo should make the viewer think of the more noble and perhaps even nostalgic notions of military service and discipline. Therefore classic army stenciling or WW2 war bond poster styles might be appropriate. But we don't want to limit creativity with these suggestions. We are open to a military caricature as well as seeing just a text based logo. We'd like to get multiple options.
Also, we do have a motto: "What are YOU willing to fight for" but we aren't sure we want it in the logo, but we want some creative perspective on it being incorporated and not being incorporated. If any of the designers see that it would be a good fit in their iteration, please give a try.
