Logo types to explore
I'm looking for a logo to brand "Amish Bob". He is a real guy. He is close to 60 years old and yet looks younger, with a gray beard, always wears a black hat, suspenders, light blue to medium blue button up shirt, and black pants. The look we're going for is cartoon character with good personality and quality in his build and face (such as Amish.jpg). The picture funny cartoon carpenter shows a board on the shoulder and I like the wood in the picture. Our floors are usually bundled 6 planks high and 5"-8" wide so if he was holding a bundle of flooring that would be good. I also like the last picture with the whole guy, holding the board. It should be respectful to the Amish people, but still energetic and fun. Font should be bold. Need some nice color to make it pop! UPDATE 11/10/12: Additional Considerations: Besides the fun cartoon version (the submissions are excellent), we also want to consider our primary demographics and also include some that a little less playful and more serious. Here's the notes from our marketing department: Consider the demographic of those customers who appreciate Amish craftsmanship and quality and the fact it's obviously not made overseas. This is the 45+ market and may have strong ties and a respect for traditional 1950’s American culture and lean towards being more serious than “fun”. Also consider what makes Amish-made products better. This would include precision, traditional designs and nothing flashy. Same as their clothes and lifestyle and things they have in their home. Cartoon Bob is appropriate for the 30-40 year old young couples building their homes. However, 90% of our current buyers are the 45-65 market. That’s our target. These are the one’s building their retirement home after the kids moved out or the one’s remodeling their house and getting rid of that 20 year old carpet. An example of a cool Amish font and an example of sketch style we'd like to see as well is attached.
