Sbasch got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New logo wanted for "Into Action" Convention
Check out Sbasch's Logo design contest…
We are a 12-Step program focused on gaining freedom from food obsession. "Into Action" is our chosen theme for our upcoming annual convention (celebrating the anniversary of the founding of this 12-Step fellowship). We want an eye-catching logo to place on all promotional and marketing materials. We want to see creativity and innovation. The logo should convey movement and fun. We have a few suggestions below for your design. Please don't use this as the only direction. And, please don't take these suggestions too literally. Use them to help you get creative. One possible option: a logo that has the "Into" moving or intermingling with the "Action". Think puzzle pieces or intertwining parts. Maybe the Into is pointed like an arrow. Use your imagination and skill set. Please feel free to ask questions.
Logo types to explore
This is our annual fundraiser but our overall idea is to emphasize recovery, experience, strength, hope, optimism, celebration, and a gathering of members from across the country. Our members come from varied backgrounds. There are more women than men and a large percentage of our members are in their 30s through 50s. But more people in their 20s are walking in. Over half of our members also have college or graduate degrees. Ideally, the logo would utilize one or two distinct colors and communicate movement or action (but not be sports-related). The logo should just include the words "Into Action" and not the word "Convention". For a lot of our members, anonymity is important. If the logo can communicate the "Into Action" theme without any indication of the 12 Steps or 12-Step programs, that'd be best. We also don't want any obvious ties to the 12 Steps by the usage of familiar symbols of other 12-Step programs (i.e. triangle within a circle). We pride ourselves in not being a "glum lot", so if there was a sense of humor to the logo, that'd be a plus. Thank you!
