logo for new volleyball team

We need a logo for an elite volleyball club for 12-15 year old girls. The logo will be used primarily on uniforms, t-shirts and sweatshirts, but it will eventually become part of all identity materials, including brochures and a website.

Wildcat Juniors

The club is called Wildcat Juniors, and although it is not officially affiliated with Northwestern University's volleyball program (http://nusports.cstv.com/sports/w-volley/nw-w-volley-body.html), the club owner is a coach at Northwestern so there is an unofficial connection -- hence the name "Wildcat" Juniors. The Wildcat Juniors logo should not relate directly to the Northwestern Wildcats logo (attached), primarily because the Wildcat's logo is ugly and dated. The colors should definitely be purple and white though. Black is also an option.
