Logo and Template for Entertainment Bookings site.

We are looking for a logo design and coded css template design for an online entertainment website. (You may submit a logo or layout on its own but please be prepared to possibly having to alter colours etc if needed to make the final layout and logo match up.) Users will be able to browse and book entertainment acts via the site. The main emphasis of the site will be on booking of live bands and DJs. There will also be a strong emphasis towards weddings.

Currently the website is under construction and can be viewed at http://www.efh.dreamhosters.com (you may find the site a little slow as it has not yet been optimised so please be patient).

What we need is for somebody to create a very professional logo and to extend our current design to build a professional-looking layout based around the newly created logo.

Guidelines for the design are as follows.

The new design should take the following factors into account.

1. The logo can be incorporated into the site design but it will need to stand alone also so we can used it on business cards, stationary etc.

2. We like the idea of a photographic banner on the top of the site to reflect the energy of the entertainment we are promoting. This banner may change as users navigate pages in the site to view different types of bands eg rock,jazz,classical etc.

3. We would like a side navigation where users can jump to a particular category of entertainment. The categories we have in mind at the moment are:

cover bands
Weddings
Djs
Traditional
Classical
Jazz
International music
Soloists
Other Entertainment

As this list is likely to expand we would like a drop down menu in the same section to view other types of entertainment.

4. The top navigation should have links to

My Bookings, FAQ, Search, Site Map, About us, Contact

5. Layout should contain a logon box with a signup link.

6. Layout should contain a search box for searching site by keyword.

7. Below the top navigation should be four graphical (with pictures/photos) links to the following categories:

Weddings
Bands
DJs
Corporate

8. Below these links we will have text telling users about the site.

9. Copyright bar at the bottom.
