Artists Unite Now (Abbreviation AUN)
My brother and I are two musicians who share a great love of music, art and all that surrounds it. We believe there is a way for artists to be able to survive, make their music, and get it heard by working together and pooling our strengths, and that it's not that complicated.
We're making a website by artists for artists.
It will have thousands of resources including radio stations, blogs, places to post music, places to listen to music, artist pages, tools for finding new fans and for keeping track of and talking to existing fans, mentoring time with experienced touring and recording artists, direct assistance with music promotion, lessons by artists, articles and tips on music promotion and more. Each artist will have photos, music, and other information posted on their own page and easy ways to start up and create projects with others.
This is a labor of love. AUN is an effort to increase support in society overall for independent music and art through global consciousness, awareness, and sharing of information. One of the main goals is to help bolster recognition and awareness of independent music, but the platform will be open, so there are countless ways it can be expanded. We have to work together if we are really going to get anything done.
Musicians of any kind, music listeners of any kind, computer savvy, independent minded, painters, writers, creative people, innovators, rebels, dentists, outlaws, people who eat pez, dreamers, rock climbers, industrious inventors, poets, builders, stargazers, snowman makers, altruistic, enthusiastic human beings.
Simple, homegrown, organic. Hand-drawn is fine too. Colorful is a plus.
Nothing generic. Nothing corporate looking whatsoever please. No guitars, microphones, flowers, or feminine twirls. No Pink.
Geometric designs are encouraged.
Something that demonstrates unity between artists visually.
It's ok to be quirky, funny, or informal. We want this to have character and engender a feeling of joining. One should be left with a sense of empowerment and feeling uplifted.
Feel free to be extremely creative and experimental! That's what this is all about! We mean it!
