Big Hat Group is the duo of Kevin Kaminski and Martins Kurtiss, both Certified Microsoft Professionals with a decorated history of Microsoft Enterprise System architecture and administration. The original concept was that they were the “Big Hats” you called when you needed a tough problem solved in your IT environment. During that phase of the business, there was a focus on corporate level IT training.

They are evolving into a Cloud-centric, Microsoft-centric SaaS development agency that builds intelligent thinking into cloud-based enterprise management systems such as Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility Suite.

The problem they solve is simplifying and streamlining the workflows from multiple portals/technologies to effectively manage thousands of users and devices in a cloud-based business world. Where Microsoft creates an ocean of data and dozens of loosely integrated web portals to access key functions, Big Hat Group is embarking upon building IT management software that brings to the foreground important actionable analytics and tasks and automates low-level day-to-day tasks.

- Focus more on Typography than “hat” (we’re moving away from the hat symbolism). The business is evolving from Microsoft enterprise architecture design and implementation to building SaaS products for IT Professionals managing large, sophisticated cloud-based corporate networks.

- A design & mood that communicates premium IT consultants/solutions in a cloud centric computing world that are on the cutting edge of modern desktop management - they are literally writing the book on this stuff

For shapes/symbols play around with:
- A portfolio of saas products (some actual, some still conceptual) for managing thousands of computers
- Elite level IT systems intelligence for a new paradigm of managing a vast collection of virtual machines and devices
- A higher order of thinking than traditional systems management based on AI and analytics trends instead of manually fixing computers because everything is becoming cloud based
- Simple out of chaos
- Intelligence out of noise
- Geometric accents seems to be popular

Colors: Original Colors were Black,Gray, White because of the symbol of “Top Hat”. We are evolving away from top hat motif to cutting edge IT systems. Create a color palette based on colors trending in IT/corporate software landscape, be bold.

- We use a WordPress Theme that implements logos and favicons. Menu bar logos need to be horizontal (200x50px ish in that range).
