The Marine Life Foundation has 4 Core pillars that together connect and create our ‘Blue Heart’ and guide our mission to saving the ocean and marine life we all love and treasure. 1/ Community – we reach out to the community and establish a relationship with the ocean and marine life through marine stories 2/ Habitat Awareness/conservation – to create a mindfulness that drives our conscious actions to preserve and nurture the ocean and the habitat our marine world needs to thrive 3/ Education/Research – to develop far greater awareness of the role the ocean and marine life has in our world and gain greater insight into their stories and what we can do to help keep species numbers healthy be it a seahorse, a turtle, shark, crustacean, or kelp—it all plays a significant part in our ecosystem and in creating a better marine future. 4/ Rescue/Rehab/Release — part of the reason we are creating this foundation is to raise funds for a marine life hospital in a new oceanarium and have the facilities to conduct rescue activities, the facilities to home, rehabilitate back to health, and release marine life back into their natural habitats By doing these things we help others build a relationship with the marine world and improve ocean health and save our marine family. The ‘Marine Life Foundation’ logo must reflect the ocean and our love for it and our marine life. Marine life to be featured in the logo will be turtle, shark, dolphin, whale, seahorse, fish, mantra ray, crab, coral, seaweed, pelican. Logo must be definable, legible for a multitude of different scales – print, signage such as teardrop banners, letterheads, children’s toys, website, socials, and be able to be printed in white or in what will become our ‘ocean’ blue colour on our tshirts and merchandise. Logo will need to be modern, professional yet fun (not childlike), and appealing so everyone both men and women will not only want to wear a t shirt, but also put a sticker on their car, be involved and eager to be part of what we do. We want everyone to look at it and WANT to be part of it. We want it to be cool and funky, exciting but simple. Not busy. Logo will also need to incorporate a ‘blue heart’ somewhere, somehow, which will feature as symbol of being a marine life foundation ambassador, oceanlover and marine life protector. ‘Blue Heart’ is the name for our membership program. We had a logo and it's good but we felt it needed to reflect more than a turtle in the logo to encompass many forms of marine life that we will be protecting and advocating. We also felt the blue used was too dark. Other than that we do like the circle of life feel of it. We were thinking we could have the range of marine life swimming around the circle. We also wondered what it would look like if the logo was a funky heart shape with marine life shown around the perimetre. The blue heart is significant but it may look too 'young' and not professional enough or cater to both male and female. See what you can do!
