How nextmovement started their logo design journey
Pop / Dance Artist (http://www.irenahart.com) with a social mission (harmony4kidz.org) looking for a fun, exciting, young, and compelling logo for the launch of her album. Her album ranges from Dance to R&B to Pop. Her music infuses positive messages with hot tracks and crosses multiple genres... her musical compatriots are Lady Gaga, katy perry, Pink, Madonna, Fergie Etc. Strong independent women with streaks of energy and fun. This is a great opportunity to create something apart from the corporate mold that will be used for a major artist push. This logo will be featured on her website, shirts, merchandise (clothing, mugs, hats, belt buckles, etc.) , intros to videos, letterhead, business cards, stickers as well as her albums. It will also appear at the top of her website which is currently being coded. It will replace the script writing version of her name in the top left corner. We will be choosing one winner who will receive $250 for their design as well as up to 2 additional logos each at $150. The opportunity is there to win multiple prizes if we choose to purchase more than the winning design.

Strong, Feminine, Urban, Dance, Electronic, Pop, Young, Hip, Artistic, while classic and timeless
The winning logo should be something that is recognizable at a distance and look great stand alone on shirts, hats, etc. Young people should want to wear it even if they don't yet know who she is. Logo can be color but must also look great in black and white (or have a modified version in black and white). Must look great when very small (as in logo on back of a CD) or large (as in a banner behind a stage) Text Logo, Design Logo, Character, Letter, Whatever looks hot... Please feel free to mock up the logo on merchandise, billboards, etc. so we can see what it might look like in action. I will comment on designs which are capturing the spirit.
