How neil8d started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Aroid Society of Australia Inc.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
A plant society just formed for lovers and growers of plants in the Aroid family (Philodendrons, Monsteras, Anthuriums, Caladiums etc) to interact and share information about Aroid plants
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like the logo to have a lush, tropical feel to it to reflect the Aroid family plants. These plants have a unique and distinctive flower structure with a spathe and a spadix, and this might be something that could be featured in the logo. Similarly, some of the leaves such as Monstera species with their fenestrations could be featured, also variegated leaves too, large divided leaves such as Philodendron bipinnatifidum could be featured too. Photos readily available on Google. In general though we would like any plant illustrations to be slightly abstracted and not too literal like a botanical illustration, but still identifiably Aroids. The Primary focus should be on the Aroid Society of Australia part of the name, with the Inc. having a secondary focus. Discretion is there for a designer to incorporate a map of Australia if it can be made to work, but this is not a necessity by any means. The logo should look playful, fun and interesting, but classy.
