As you may have deduced, dentistry. In a rural agrarian community that is surrounded by a world-class fishing river, the heritage of an old 1800's grist mill, nearby snowy peaks and a blue-collar group of residents. I am looking to create a logo and signage font that is clean, simple and is simply an image for recognition.
The name doesn't need to really be in the logo image and while not a necessity, I have found some pretty clever and simple ways that people have incorporated a tooth/teeth/tooth-related images into the logo (I've included the ones I think do it well). If you look at the hundreds of thousands of lame tooth-inclusive logos out there, you'll recognize it can either go really well or really badly. So unless you're sure it's awesomely clever or think you're breaking new ground, I'd like to stay away from teeth in the image (I've included samples that I consider "awesomely clever").
In the absence of something really clever, I'd like something that is symmetrical and I've uploaded some of the logos that i like best - notably a symmetrical fleur-de-lis logo, though not really in the color palette or style I think would mesh well in this community setting. If you can tie it (loosely) to something reminiscent of the Northwest or the surrounding geography - cool.
I figure since you don't meet your clients often, it'd be better to overwhelm you with info and see what you pick up on and work with. I'll try to keep updating the brief to better sharpen it and give regular feedback.
BONUS: The city of Eagle Point has an historic covered bridge over a river, if you can research and cleverly combine a stylized tooth and this covered bridge, that could be awesome.
