My site is not live yet, but I've removed the 'Coming Soon' page for the next few days so the contest participants can get a peek. Please ignore the logo in the upper left, it's something I slapped together myself and it's going to be replaced by the winning entry for this contest. Please take note of the main colors used on the site. The GREEN is HTML #73b819 and the DARK GREY is #505050.
UPDATE Feb 17: I've uploaded a new image "Indigenous Symbol Suggests ONION". I found this in a book of Latin American indigenous iconography. I think it could be useful to incorporate this into the cut open side of the purple onion, as it's shape could "suggest" the rings of an onion while at the same time satisfying my idea of including such imagery. If you want to try this, please stay as close a possible to the actual line and shape of this symbol (even trace it.) THANKS
UPDATE Feb 16: I'd want to award a logo that uses a font I can repeat within the web content, like headings. Please consider using a typeface this available for both print and web.
UPDATE Feb 15: I've removed the slogan "Livin' La Vida Lighter" from this logo request. The logo should include the name "Organic Latin Table" but the slogan is OPTIONAL. I realize it may be difficult to get all those words into the design, but please try. Thanks.
I'd like a simple, clean design. Green should be the main focus since it's about healthy food and produce, but secondary colors are welcome, such as colors of fresh vegetables like orange, gold, amber, purple onion (attached files are for color inspiration, and I like the sketchy illustrations). Something that suggests "latin" would be nice, such as a cilantro leaf/purple onion/orange chili (but no long red chili peppers please as it's overused.) Another possible idea would be to include iconography that suggests the indigenous roots of Latin America (visit http://www.goya.com/english/recipes…-by-region, you have to copy and past the link for some reason it won't work when you click here) for an example of this, but it would have to be much more simplified/stylized. I'm open to suggestions.
