Overprint understood the brief from the offset. Responsive, accurate and timely with amendments. I cannot recommend Overprint highly enough. This was my first design with 99designs. The whole process has been quick, enjoyable, productive and good value.
How psc started their logo design journey
The logo is for a website JavaVideos.net.
This is to be a training site for people to learn the Java programming language.
Please take no notice of the design of this page, but the page text will give you some background to the site
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I expect the users of the site to be mainly young 'techie' males either in college or early in employment
I am expecting people to pay for the training so the logo should project a sort of reliable business like image somehow. Not too cartoonish. It can be techie, but not too techie. Think of someone learning or aspiring to be a techie.
You may wish, but it is not a prerequisite, to include some sort of depiction of video in the logo. However please can we stay clear of using anything to do with the official java logo. I want to avoid any copyright issues.
The logo will be used on the website, in downloadable pdf training material and on the videos.
On the videos it will be used on the title page, and as a watermark through out the video.
I have no idea about the process of creating a watermark but I guess it would be best as some sort of one color version of the logo. A video containing the title page can be found here: http://javavideos.s3.amazonaws.com/…Intro2.avi
I would like the web address, JavaVideos.net, included in the logo.
