How Christina Repoley started their logo design journey
Quaker Voluntary Service
We are a faith based (Quaker) nonprofit organization. We are a national network that provides young adults with service opportunities in areas of peace and social justice such as working to combat poverty, work with the homeless, education and anti-racism.
This is our organization's Vision Statement:
Quaker Voluntary Service (QVS) fosters dynamic relationships of service, witness, and worship in a living Quaker faith. In a world oppressed by the powers of violence, domination, exclusion and fear, QVS empowers transformative partnerships in the work of liberation and justice. We seek to be a vessel for the renewal and transformation of relationships with God and with one another. We are called to wrestle, labor, and delight in our blessed diversity, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
People who are young, progressive, spiritual, social justice oriented.
We would be interested in a symbol like a helping hand, a house signifying community, a candle/light imagery, olive branch, etc (definitely not a cross). Quaker distinctive values include simplicity, peace, equality, and community and a logo reflecting any or all of those would be great.
