sss203 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for NERDS Wiki
Check out sss203's Logo design contest…
Need fun, interesting logo for wiki for nerds. A logo that any hipster nerd (like me) would be happy to visit and learn about cool, geeky things. Just because one is nerd, doesn't mean s/he can't be cool.
What's your vision?
Tagline: To be added later to final selected logo (i.e., 2ndary). Desired Color Scheme: Be creative Desired Style: Cool but Nerdy, fun, modern (think of a logo a cool nerd would like).hipster-nerdesque. Accepted File Formats: Standard Web Formats (.jpg, .gif or .png); Vector Formats (.eps, .pdf or .ai) The logo should feature the name of the wiki (which is also the website name): wikinerdz (I'd emphasizing the "Nerdz" over the "wiki" -- i.e., if I were writing this web address in an email to a friend I might call it "wikinerdz") Feel free to be creative. After all, this is site for nerds and all the things that interest us. Being a hipster nerd is cool, so this logo should be too. Â Once the base logo is chosen. I'd want version of the logo featuring the tagline added on, but adding the tagline will be simple. Most important is the logo. The logo should have some graphical element that would be discernable so regardless of if you read English, you'd know what the brand was or something about the way it is represented that speaks to the product itself. [Think Nike Swoosh] Â
