guyb got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo Needed for New Shipping Container Camp Concept

"Boxwoods, A Cho-Yeh Camp" --but this does not have to be incorporated
Travel & Hotel
We are a residential, overnight, Christian camp, serving churches in the greater Houston, Dallas, and Austin metro areas. Our decision makers are youth pastors, and our campers are junior high and high school students. We provide a place for church groups to run life changing events to transform lives for Christ.
Other color requirements
Colors should be nature colors broadly; browns, greens, blues.
UPDATE: Incorporating the containers is a preference. Does not need to contain crosses or Christian symbols, although if they are incorporated subtly that's fine. This is a very open ended design request because we are combining several paradoxical elements. We are building a new Summer Camp concept that uses industrial shipping containers to build a site that is both industrial and modern while incorporating vintage lake and camping elements. I am including a link to a Pinterest page that is a collection of ideas we have found inspiring in the concept. Central to the concept is the use of shipping containers, but it is also a youth, church camp, for junior high and high school students. It should be sophisticated and Instagram worthy. The logo should look good on a hat or shirt, as well as stenciled on a wall or cut into steel as part of an entry gate. To that end, simplicity is better than complexity. This camp, called Boxwoods, is also part of an existing camp called Camp Cho-Yeh which already has a brand presence, although it doesn't have to be included. "Boxwoods, a Cho-Yeh Camp" can be used in a full version of the brand. The camp property is located on along the shores of a large lake with tall pine trees, sandy beach, beautiful sunsets, and shady oak trees. The design could go so many directions, it is really hard to pin down, so I hope you help guide us to something great. The name Boxwoods is also a double meaning. The box part alludes to our use of shipping containers. The woods hearkens to our location in the woods, incorporating nature, camping, simplicity, etc. There is also a plant called a boxwood. Please feel free to ask questions. i realize this is kind of a meandering proposal. https://pin.it/4QUsBJr
