We are a life-style wedding and commercial photographer in the Sacramento area.
We are young and hip, fun and exciting.
We're relatively young company, so are still developing our brand.
We need a new logo that can be a spring-board for our entire branding. You can see our current logo and colors by visiting our website here - http://www.shepard-photography.com. We also attached our current logo to this brief. Also attached are three photographs that we feel define our company.
We want a logo that has a new and fresh feel yet is timeless. The logo must contain our full name- Shepard Photography, have a color version, black and/or white version and a smaller "watermark" version (could possibly be just a recognizable graphic that is part of the whole logo for the watermark). Remember these logos will be placed over photographs with sometimes busy backgrounds.
Adding a jpeg file of a "S" from my signature that I thought might be useful. This is just an idea, I DON'T want every design submitted to use it.
Our target audience is mainly newly engaged brides and grooms, ages 24-34. Our clients are typically very well connected with facebook, twitter and the internet. They are fun, hip and current with fashion and current trends.
We also target various other groups of people for portraiture and commercial photography so while the design must mainly appeal to brides and grooms it must be able to be used for other photography types as well.
A few words that would describe what we are looking for are, we feel these are very important to our brand -
We are in no way attached to our colors and would like something new but have a hard time nailing down what colors we want to go with. Just start designing and we'll post comments on the colors we do and don't like.
Font should be clean and fresh. No bubbly, swirly or over the top fonts.
We're open to ideas. Maybe play with the S in Shepard but abstract designs are probably better, but again, open to all ideas.
What we don't want -
- No overly wedding logos, no cakes, no rings etc.
- No literal photography logos (like the one we have now we're not happy with the circular aperture graphic part), no cameras, no film strips
- No bubbly/swirly fonts
Finished requirements -
We would like to have the graphics in illustrator vector based files. So we may tweak them as needed or pull parts out of the design to use on other marketing materials. Also we would like to have a list of Fonts used.
