The Medical Skin Spa is the domain name of my pending website!!
Hello! I am a 48 year old female physician who has left the practice of medicine (after 14 years post residency) to form my own small medical aesthetics business, with a primary focus on anti-aging, health and wellness. I will be providing services such as botox and dermal fillers initially. In the future I would like to add on additional services, such as medical weight loss, sclerotherapy, laser hair and tattoo removal, laser facial rejuvination, teeth whitening, etc. The culture of my company is that of one that strives to help clients (95% which are female) to enhance their appearance and combat the effects of aging.
There are two important aspects to the image that I would like to convey.
1. Medical field/scientific/educational.
2. Soften the image with a feminine touch, preferable incorporating the image of a rose or other lovely flower; and utilizing feminine pastel colors such as pink, light green, light blue.
The personality that I am trying to convey is that of a caring, compassionate, intelligent female physician with a soft and low key apprroach.
My target market for the medical aesthetics portion of my business is primarily women between the ages of 45 and 65. However, I would like to keep my options open to provide these services to men as well, so do not want to be too flowery.
Additionally, I have been chosen as one of five entrepreneurs nationwide who will be profiled in USA Today's Small Business Challenge series of articles. This series follows five entrepreneurs over a period of six months as they start up a new business in 2010. This has caused me to take my start up efforts to a new level, and every component of it is on the fast track! I have my first photo shoot tomorrow (Thurs 1/20/10) and the first of six monthly articles will be published in paper and on line (USAToday.com) on February 1st!
