OHTN needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 110 designs submitted by 30 freelance designers.
The OHTN (Ontario HIV Treatment Network) is a collaborative network of researchers, health service providers, policy makers, community members and people with HIV who work together to promote excellence and innovation in HIV treatment, research, education in Ontario.
The OHTN Cohort Study (OCS) is a community-governed, multi-site research study that collects clinical and socio-behavioural information voluntarily from people with HIV across Ontario. Results of this study will help to improve:
* Our understanding of HIV
* HIV treatment strategies
* Access to care and treatment for people with HIV
Primary audience: Local HIV community
Secondary audience: Health Researchers
Tertiary audience: Policy makers
Our website is accessed by researchers, participants and the public who are interested in learning about the study, as well as how they may be involved or how they may access results.
The full study name that requires a logo is OHTN Cohort Study. The acronym of this study is "OCS", which may be used in the logo instead of the full written out name.
What single unique or compelling thought do we wish to communicate?
Importance; significance; believability
Five adjectives that would be reflective of this project::
1. Large-scale / broad
2. Historical and current (longitudinal)
3. Encompassing (quantitative and qualitative)
4. Impact
5. Relevance
It is important that themes such as "health", "quality-of-life" and "compassion" are balanced with "professional", "clinical" and "ground-breaking".
