How heathrae started their logo design journey
I run this project with a biz partner. I have several online businesses and this is my newest one. Our culture for this business is very relaxed and we like simplicity. We are not overly girlie yet are feminine. We are working with woman from all over the world so the design has to cross cultures. We want to beat out the competition with a more streamlined, simple, less wordy approach. Very stylish and sexy yet approachable.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
For women only. Each blog within the community will attract different demographics – youngest will probably be late teens. We are targeting blog savvy women to start. The women who come to us are more stylish than the average woman, intelligent and are seeking to simplify their life and leverage their time using what others know.
Look we are after:
Global (appeal to all cultures)
One accent colour - prefer a shade of blue (see http://www.livesofawoman.com for a shade we like)
* we are open to more than one accent colour
Must have livesofawoman.com in a unique flowing font
Must have an icon with the number 13 that can be pulled from the text and used separately
Please go to http://www.livesofawoman.com to see a sample logo of the direction we are after - we like the look of the Om symbol and that is where inspiration came for what you see there for the 13.
Why 13 is important:
It is the number of topics we will cover and blogs we will have
We are positioning it as a lucky number
It is a strong feminine number
We will have a subscription part of our community called the "Lucky 13 Club"
Where will we use the logo:
Throughout our blog community
The icon portion will be posted on all of our contributors private blogs
