How dB Omni started their logo design journey
dB Omni is a multimedia company maneuvering into pop-culture and sub-culture themes to produce interactive games, publish original music, and nick the Zeitgeist when feasible.
Logo will appear in a dB Omni iPhone game this summer.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Consumers drawn to Wired, Pitchfork, Slashdot, Apple, etc.; nightlife trend setters, knob-twiddlers, techy rockers, and any who stay up late to pull the Duende from transistors.
Logo should consist of two parts: 1) an emblem (prefer 3D or faux-3D look, lighting effects, etc.), and 2) typographical "dB Omni". For the emblem, use d, B and O to create an aesthetically engaging interplay of these that shows dominance/longevity, with a modern appeal to recreational tech/music/media aficionados.
I'm looking for some nice attention to detail and balanced complexity in the emblem. And the font for the text portion should be non-generic.
Two versions are needed: 1) a full color version mostly weighted in blue; and 2) a 2-color (black/blue) version for mass printing.
deliverables: the full color version and the 2-color version, each in vector file format such that the emblem and text can each be extracted/moved/resized/etc.
