**UPDATE: we can't use combinations of the letters MS in the icon, because this is a serious medical condition (multiple-sclerosis); also anything with a knife is not suitable (it makes people think very tangibly about serious operations which is not good; finally, the medical cross concept has been overused, so this isn't suitable either. Thanks, and apologies for not including this in the initial brief**
Murray Surgical is a supplier of surgical and medical products to hospitals and clinics, mainly in Ireland. The company has been around for 40 years, but has recently had a change of CEO, and as part of this, we (their consultancy) are helping with a full rebrand and new website build.
They sell to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes etc. Their target audience are: surgeons, theatre managers, hospital procurement staff, etc.
The brand is somewhat tired - see their previous logo / website with the generic medical iconography, old style font, not crisp etc.: http://www.murraysurgical.ie/
This is the current version of the new site: https://murraysurgical.evekudesign.com/
This is obviously pre-launch, and there is still quite a bit of work to do but it should give you an idea. We, and the client, are quite happy with the current Wordmark, but we would like to see some other ideas.
Some words that describe the brand:
