We would like our logo to simultaneously convey the concepts of software and mineral resources. We like software concepts such as the branching Git logo and pit concepts such as a triangle (upside down), but do not want the design to be too literal. An image search for "mining schematics" may provide some ideas for underground and open pit mining inspired designs. The logo will frequently be used in locations that have more room horizontally than vertically, such as report headers. We like blue (although not navy) for the primary logo color with a dark enough blue to be used in printed reports. We would like our logo to not use our initials, including isolated initials (R).
