My client runs a mental health counseling practice. She's been using a nasty, clip-art pic of an oak tree (strength) but she's about to move her practice to a very upscale part of town and the logo needs a major overhaul. I don't even want to "pollute your mind" by showing you her current oak tree, I'd rather just start with a clean slate.
I am envisioning an old, very thick-trunked oak tree that looks like it was drawn with black charcoal (or watercolor!) using a very, very minimalistic approach, probably no leaves. The tree has been obviously growing with just a little bit of a lean to the right, and a strong wind is obviously blowing everything from the right to the left, blowing the branches towards the left, almost a cross between a willow and an oak, but definitely not a willow!. Make sense? What I don't want is some tree just standing there looking lonely. 🙂
Once the black framework of the tree is in place then I want you to utilize the 2 additional pallete colors I'm supplying, to add some very, very, sparse accent color to the tree.
Applications: I will need a full-colored version, a black only version, and a reverse-white version of the finished logo.
