It's now been over 4 months since I selected Mike as the winner of my logo design contest and am still extremely happy with my decision.
Nothing was too much to ask. I requested many variations to his various designs which were promptly submitted for further comment.
I also appreciated his professional recommendations on colour and design aspects especially his preferred design that he had submitted.
If I have any future design requirements for my current or future business ventures, I'll be requesting it straight from Mike.
Getting the logo I wanted was a quick and easy process thanks to Alexandru! I'm definitely planning to go directly to him next time.
Thank you for your persistance to get what I wanted. I appreciate your work.
Dean King understood immediatly what we were looking for. Great job, love the logo!

A tapas style Indian restaurant where patrons will share plates of modern-Indian cuisine.
The branding would comment on the decor - a minimal interior with a warm, neutral palate with pops of orange/red. Elegant is a word we like here.
Patrons vary from young urban professionals, to families and couples.

Here is the gist:
We are looking for a logo for a new Indian Restaurant: Masala Box. It will be a tapas style restaurant serving a modern take on Indian cuisine. The logo would reflect this modernity.
The client is very opinionated about the aesthetic (it’s a family business) and so he has given me some criteria (you may need to do some research about what the Hindi symbolism means)
This is what he said of the attached sketch that he did (under attached files - image1.jpg)
"It will be a five color logo. The central coils are 'M' and 'B' blended to together in an 'aum' sign (will be red changing over to orange) the arches of 'm' along with the tapering end capture 'heart', the fingerlings are fire licks (which will be yellow)- there's a 'droplet' in the center which represents savitur or the supreme radiance that represents enlightenment-(it will be blue) On a macro level it looks like a palm or peacock feather both have indian connotations"
I met with the client and talked him out of doing something with 5 colors (unless a graphic design ninja thinks otherwise). Feel free to give it a try beyond his sketch - he is open to ideas. Ideally we would go for a less ethnic and more abstract, modern vibe (like the attached Ganesha or Vanakkam logo.)
I am open to conversation - please email me for any questions or concerns.
