New Logo for Longshot, a Football Predictions App

Longshot is a new prediction game for football (soccer) fans, on web and mobile. Players form teams and compete in leagues, being ranked by how accurately they predict match results. The majority of our players are men in the 18-35 age range, living largely but not exclusively in the UK and Ireland.

The logo is a for game, so it shouldn't look too formal. It's is part of a full product re-branding, so we're not tied to any particular colour. The general site UI is very clean and flat, in light greys and white. While there are prizes for winners, we don't want that element in the logo. The logo will have to serve as a button icon on the mobile app (the usual top-left 'menu' option), so it's important that it's identifiable and distinctive at a small size, either with the name or just as a pictorial or abstract mark on it's own. The logo will also be used on social media and in the app stores, so fitting tidily into the square image space would be useful, again either the full logo or an element from it. Having said that, I can always just crop down to feature just one element from a larger logo design if necessary. If it serves that end, feel free to try Visual Styles other than those selected above, (except the Character style).
