We are a social enterprise that will give away inexpensive but reliable bikes to commuters in London, via corporate sponsorship. The the UK, then the rest of Europe. Then North America. We are believe in physical and mental fitness personal and political liberation and environmental salvation through bicycle commuting. We're not hippies, CSR nerds, tree-huggers, or....well ok, tree huggers. But we flip our ties over our shoulders first.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Anybody can get one of these bikes as long as they will ride it to work or school and back. Over 18. So that's the target.
We want a silhouette of a Royal Guard riding a bike and waving. We will print all good entries in exactly the same size and take the one that is most identifiably exactly that from the greatest distance. If it is a side view, he should be riding from the left to the right. The bike should be more or less a single speed Dutch style upright bike.
However better would be an upright bike with wheels of a slightly smaller diameter than Dutch bike wheels and bigger tires than a Dutch bike (ie the size of a mountain bike). Also rather than a top tube parallel to the ground or parallel to the down tube (ladies bike) one with the top tube meeting the seat stay in the middle. The seat stay should go all the way up. Not this bike but this for terms http://ow.ly/rqnp. But not a mountain bike frame like this http://ow.ly/rqoF. Just a regular upright single speed step through commuter bike. But if the image is better with Dutch bike, we will go with that.
We want to convey bicycle commuting and England. We think this will be best, if you can come up with a different idea that is visible and immediately identifiable, easy to see and spot from a distance, and conveys those two things, we'll look and pick the best.
