Hi designers, My name is Hanwen (Evan) Bai, the owner of Hanwen Interiors (hanwen-interiors.com), a Boston-based interior decorating company that specializes in modern, Asian inspired, residential interiors. A little bit about myself: I am a gay, Asian (Chinese), first generation immigrant who, besides being an interior decorator, also works as a scientist during the day. I have a lovely black Labrador retriever named Wilson :)

Hi designers, I’m interested in abstract, pictorial, wordmark and combination logos that is both modern/minimal, as well as Asian inspired. I am looking for designs that are original - speaks to my brand, instead of generic or cliché logos. 1. Overall logo style: I want the logo to read Zen, calm, and warmth - the mood I aim to instill in my interior designs for my client's homes. Styles I like: clean, minimal, modern, sophisticated. I believe in 'less is more'. Styles I dislike: overly ornate, too colorful, cartoony. 2. Asian inspired design: I would like the logo to have a nod to my Asian (Chinese) heritage, especially since my company specializes in Asian inspired interior designs. The Asian reference in the logo can be subtle/understated. Please try to avoid the obvious/cliché such as lotus flowers, bamboos, pandas, dragons… I would love to see your creativity for something more original and refined. For inspiration, here are some of the Asian motifs/elements that I like: Chinese calligraphy, Chinese seal, Chinese knot. These are just examples so please do not limit your creativity to these. I welcome different pitches from you and will do my very best in providing clear feedback on your designs. 3. Interior decorating company: Just because Hanwen Interiors is an interior decorating company does not mean the logo have to include elements such as a house.
