asvs got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for a innovative EU-project supporting sustainability in the Baltic sea region
Check out asvs's Logo design contest…
What for: EU project about INNOVATIVE AQUACULTURE TECHNOLOGIES in the south baltic sea region. Background and aim: As fish stocks are still being overexploited and agricultural systems are failing to keep up with the demand for food, aquaculture is expected to be one of the fastest growing food production sectors. There is surprisingly little production of foods from aquaculture in the south Baltic area, although there is a good presence of suppliers to the aquaculture sector. Due to environmental issues and restrictions, aquaculture and sea ranching in the Baltic sea is very limited. InnoAquaTech focuses therefore on land-based, closed recycling aquaculture systems (RAS) and the technologies related to this specific sector. The aim of project is to contribute to the development and transfer of environmentally friendly aqua culture technologies. These high tech facilities produce sustainable regional, high quality food and often combine aqua culture with growing other produce such as algae. Rather than being research-based, this is a hands-on, practical project working directly with stakeholders.

What are we looking for? NEED TO HAVE: A logo that would work in a transnational context, and which clearly conveys innovative aquaculture (fish, shrimps, shellfish, algae) technology in closed systems. This could be a logo enclosed in a frame or box, perhaps with some bubbles as in the SUBMARINER logo (see link below). NICE TO HAVE: A environmental and sustainability aspect. The project targets small and medium businesses. There should be clear synergies between the logo and the corporate design of the EU funding programme INTERREG and the SUBMARINER network – could be visible in the colour scheme, font etc. Communication guidelines and logo for INTERREG can be found here: https://southbaltic.eu/communication The SUBMARINER website (with logo): http://www.submariner-network.eu Key words – innovative technology, aqua, fish, environment, sustainable development, blue growth, maritime, sea, networks, regions, innovation, jobs, competition.
