Who are you known as?
Young Giants Tutoring Agency
What’s your company slogan?
Developing confidence in learning.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a UK, London based tutoring agency, supplying private tutors for one-on-one educational support to children aged between 5 and 18. We specialise in nurturing a student's confidence in learning by focusing on who they are as individuals and teaching via their strengths and interests. Our methods encourage the child to become more independent in their learning and thinking.
Our name comes from the saying - 'Standing on the shoulders of Giants'.
Our target audience is parents (of children and teenagers up to 18) who can afford extra tuition and who feel concerned about their child's confidence and performance in school. Our logo needs to communicate to parents that we are professional, trained, educated, trustworthy and nurturing.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
We are thinking that the logo might look best black and operate as a silhouette but we are open to ideas.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like to work with the idea of 'Standing on the shoulders of giants'. We want to communicate that we assist students in finding their own voice, we nurture the individual. We do not instruct or lecture. We look at who we have in a student and help them fly, help them see their own horizon. We have played around with ideas of a child standing on the shoulders of an adult and also a child standing on the pages of a book and looking at the horizon. See very rough sketches attached. We understand that it is hard to make a giant look like a giant without any context but we think that if figures look like normal sized humans then that is ok. It's about the idea rather than a literal interpretation. We are open to new ideas or we are happy to work with something that is a direct development of the sketches we have provided.
The tag line does not have to be included within the logo as we wont always use it and it can be placed underneath the logo as and when appropriate.
