Yew Tree Farm is a small private estate in the centre of England.
It is featured on the earliest maps of the area and the now dead yew tree which still stands in the gardens is thought to be 1,000 years old.
A design which therefore reflects the history and traditional English countryside setting may work well.
We are hoping for a logo which incorporates an icon or illustration of some form. We would most prefer an icon which has a ‘meaning’ rather than an abstract shape or design.
The farm is not currently working so images incorporating livestock would be inappropriate.
However, we are exploring the idea of a micro-distillery to create a craft gin. Thus, a logo which could lend itself to a gin label could be interesting.
There are many trees on site so a leafy or tree theme could work well. Equally though, we don’t want anything too clichéd so we are open to any creative concepts.
The logo is to be used initially on printed material and possibly an external hanging sign. It will likely also be used on the web.
Considering the possible use as a sign and a future bottle label the aspect should probably tend towards a square rather than an elongated rectangle.
There is no pre-existing font or colour palette.
Having just completed a logo competition for another project on 99designs and been impressed with the range of talent out there we are excited to see what creative ideas you have.
Many thanks, we hope this might be a brief that interests you, and if so we look forward to seeing your great ideas and a great final logo.
